Call out for sponsored courses
If you want to join us in transforming access to education and reach millions of learners worldwide, you can launch your sponsored courses or sponsor existing ones.
With sponsored courses, you pay an annual fee, and we'll make your courses entirely free for our learners. This completely removes financial barriers so that countless individuals can learn new skills and improve their futures.
What are sponsored courses?
Sponsored courses are free for all learners at any stage. That means from the moment they join, they’ll have unrestricted access to the course content, getting the same benefits as a learner who has joined a course via Unlimited.
What are the benefits?
We know that short courses are often pathways to higher-earning offerings such as microcredentials or degrees. In fact:
We’ve found that 50% of our degree enrollees started with a short course on FutureLearn.
What’s more, with no paywall, your course is likely to attract a larger number of learners.
Commercial terms
Sponsored courses are best suited for partners who want to focus on maximising enrolment volume and completions, or providing a pathway to a microcredential or degree.
To offer a sponsored course, you must have an active partnership agreement and agree to the commercial terms with your partnership manager. This includes paying an annual fee per sponsored course to facilitate free access for all learners.
The courses must then be renewed annually based on when the partnership contract is due to expire.
Case study
Accenture sponsors a collection of digital skills courses, helping learners gain the knowledge to navigate their first job or a new job in a digital environment.
This works well for sponsored courses because, being completely free for all learners, they are accessible to anyone with an Internet connection.
Accenture’s courses have proven to be very successful with over 1 million enrolments so far.
