We have released a service making it quicker and easier for our partners to access leads. The new functionality, launched in January, transfers all leads collected via forms on FutureLearn’s course detail pages automatically and instantly into the partner’s CRM tool . This will reduce the time our learners wait for answers to their queries, and help drive conversions for FutureLearn and its partners.
We are inviting all our partners to trial the service by contacting their Partnership Manager to get set up today.
Understanding the process – here’s how it works
- A user submits a lead capture form from a course details page on the FL website
- We retrieve the information about that lead and send it into the partner’s CRM tool
- The partner is immediately able to contact the customer and start nurturing the lead
All you need to do to make this process happen is contact your Partnership Manager. The integrations team at FutureLearn will then work with you to add this lead into your CRM. You’ll need to provide integration access to your CRM, which will make a limited section of your tool available to FutureLearn.
Does integration access mean FutureLearn can see everything in your CRM?
No. When you set FutureLearn up as an integration user, you’ll be able to restrict the permissions they have. For example, you can set up the new user so that they can only access leads originating on the FutureLearn platform. All other data in your CRM will remain invisible to FutureLearn.
What if you don’t have a CRM tool?
For partners who do not use a CRM tool, we can still make the lead process quicker and easier by emailing them immediately when they receive a degree lead. They will then need to manually download the lead from Course Creator.
Want the leads but won’t have the resources to nurture them?
We also have a solution for partners who are keen to access our leads, but who may not have the capacity and/or resources to nurture them. Next steps: Getting set up
To get set up and start taking advantage of the lead transfer service, you just need to contact your Partnership Manager. They will then refer you to our integrations team, who can check you have the right credentials on Course Creator and show you how to grant FutureLearn integration user permissions in your CRM. The team will also run tests to ensure the integration is working and you are receiving leads correctly. From there, it’s over to you to reach out to prospective learners.
