Calling all content-creating partners! We’re looking for new courses to add to our digital portfolio – and we need your help.
Our Content Team has done a deep dive into our current course catalogue and has identified two groups to expand.
The first group of courses are in subject areas where we do not have as much content as we’d like on our platform. They cover trending topics where we estimate a high success rate. Although we already have content in the following areas, we are looking to expand, particularly with a range of intermediate and advanced courses.
The following subject areas are:
-
Product management: We’re after courses in almost all areas of product management such as: User Research, Product Design, Roadmaps, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), remote/tech team leadership & management, leading and working with customers, engineers, designers and data scientists, using Velocity, KPIs, OKRs, North Stars, A/B/n tests, NPS, CSAT, CES, Cohort Analysis, LTV, Pricing, and Financials, and using AI and machine learning to improve product management.
-
Cyber security for companies: Cyber security is a big, ever-developing industry, we already have some content that performs well but we’re looking for more in: Data Security & Protection, Network and Cloud Security & Safety, IT Leadership, running a team and setting up company safety policies, ISO 27001 certifications, Digital Safety Analysis.
-
Data science: We have a good range of data science courses but we’re looking for more advanced options in: Data Manipulation Using R, SQL, Tableau, Data Visualisation and Data Collection & Ethics.
- Digital marketing: We’d like to extend our current digital marketing collection with more advanced options, including more practical courses around using Canva, Adobe and SEO.
The second group of subjects we’d like courses on are either completely uncovered on the FutureLearn site – or have popular courses in adjacent disciplines meaning we believe they will perform well too. Some of these are basic, for-individual-courses – areas where we think a beginner can learn and develop new skills in a short course.
The following subject areas are:
- FinTech: We’d like to start with introductory courses, with the intention to build to more intermediate areas.
- Cyber security for individuals: We’d like to offer learners the chance to develop digital safeguarding skills: including creating safe passwords, avoiding scams and phishing, staying safe online, keeping your kids safe online, spotting fake news and AI, and dealing with online harassment and bullying.
-
AI for complete beginners: We already have a few good intermediate AI and AI-supported skills courses, and would like more. However, we also feel that courses in AI for beginners will perform well. These would cover topics such as: how to spot AI images, different uses for different AI tools, understanding how AI works, the ethics of AI, the ‘dangers’ of AI for job security, deep fakes and staying aware of, and understanding how to protect your IP from AI.
-
Digital skills for individuals / small businesses: We have some great digital skills courses. We would like more which are targeted to small-business owners, who want to develop a more cohesive skillset in areas such as: SEO, Canva, Adobe, social media, UX, QuickBooks and other accounting services, Google and Meta ads, picking an online storefront, using social media for business, setting up an online business, and using CRM software.
- Digital literacy for individuals: We estimate a need for courses in basic digital literacy. These skills are not taught in education and don’t come intuitively through playing on a touchscreen. These digital literacy skills could include: setting up an email account, using online services such as banking and council websites, using Google Suite, social media basics, using your iPhone / Android, understanding online terminology etc.
If any of these topics fit with your organisational goals and you’re able to provide the relevant courses, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your Partnership Manager, fill out a proposal form or email partner.enquiries@futurelearn.com.
We’re looking forward to hearing from you.
