It’s been over 6 months now since I joined the FutureLearn team as their new VP of Marketing, and I’m thrilled to have joined at a time when the education sector is evolving faster than ever and the business is going through such an exciting period of transformation.
Prior to FutureLearn, I have spent the past five years with MoneySuperMarket, responsible for leading the marketing & personalisation strategy across the MoneySuperMarket and MoneySavingExpert brands, focused on leveraging data and insight and developing new propositions that helped to re-define the customer experience.
As FutureLearn has grown and changed over its near 10 year life, so has the marketing function. Even in the six months since I started in post there has been rapid transformation happening right across the business which has required our team to stop, rethink, switch direction, make decisions and move forward, all of which I’m pleased to say we have taken in our stride.
My initial observations have been really positive. We have an extremely talented marketing team, passionate about making a difference in a purpose-led sector and with a real self belief in the opportunity ahead to grow both our brand and business. We have a new and exciting 5 year business strategy, with a clear set of priorities and there is a real focus and energy across the business on how we best deliver against our strategy.
In marketing, we remain more focused than ever on how we can consistently deliver high volumes of quality traffic and paying learners to the site.

- Discuss our plans to refocus our value proposition, which will enable FutureLearn to be more relevant, our creative to be more impactful and ensure we have a meaningful point of difference moving forward
- Provide you with confidence in our Marketing Strategy and share with you our key priorities over the next 12 months
- Provide you with transparency around how we are evolving as a Marketing team, and how we are set-up to provide maximum exposure to your courses

This week's Partner Forum event is such a great opportunity to bring together our partner community in person and I’m really looking forward to meeting many of you for the first time.
