Peer Graded Assignment steps have been designed specifically for ExpertTracks to provide Learners with a chance to develop a deeper insight into the quality of their work through the review of their peers. They should be used to set Learners tasks which successfully demonstrates their understanding of the material covered and skills learnt within your course.
You can include one or more Peer Graded Assignment across your course(s) to provide Learners with feedback and individual task grades. They will also add up to provide a final grade at the end of each course in your ExpertTrack.
Peer Graded Assignment tasks are made up of three step:
- Brief - using a standard Article step. Added manually it should explain in detail exactly what the assignment is, what to submit and a summary of the grading rubric used by peers. Ideally it would also include an example submission - so a learner can see an example of exactly what they need to.
- Peer Graded Assignment step - an assignment can be made of one or more submission parts that build into a single assignment submission. Every assignment has a title added automatically. This step will then show each submission prompt which can be; short text, long text or a file.
- Peer Grade step - added automatically. Once a Learner has submitted their assignment they will be asked to review two other Learners’ submissions. When they’ve done this, they will be automatically directed to the Peer Grade step where they can review other Learners’ feedback on their own submission.
Anyone with Author or Organisation Administration permissions can add peer graded assignment steps.
