What do learners receive for successfully completing an ExpertTrack?
Learners who successfully complete an ExpertTrack receive a digital and PDF ExpertTrack certificate. They will be able to access the certificate from their ExpertTrack achievement page and from their achievements tab in Your Learning.
Learners also receive a Certificate of Achievement for every short course they successfully complete within their ExpertTrack. Learners who don’t complete the whole ExpertTrack but do complete courses within it will retain access to any short course Certificates of Achievement they have received, even after they stop subscribing to the ExpertTrack as a whole.
How do learners successfully complete an ExpertTrack?
To successfully complete an ExpertTrack, learners must complete and earn a Certificate of Achievement on all the short courses within the ExpertTrack.
When they have done this, they will automatically receive a pass email with a link to their ExpertTrack achievement page.
How do I add certificate and achievement information for my ExpertTrack?
For each ExpertTrack, you will need to submit certificate information for each individual component short course, plus submit certificate and achievement information for the ExpertTrack as a whole. You will need ‘organisation admin’ permissions in order to do this (please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you or a member of your team needs this permission level).
Submit certificate and achievement information for an ExpertTrack
When you create a new ExpertTrack in Course Creator, you’ll see a program overview page. If you scroll down to the ‘End of course’ section on this page, you’ll find an ‘Edit achievement information’ button. Click this to get to the Edit Achievement form.
You’ll need to enter information for two mandatory fields on this form:
- Course description - A brief description of the ExpertTrack, subjects covered and what skills learners demonstrated. This will appear on the ExpertTrack certificate.
- Primary signatory - At least one signatory for the ExpertTrack certificate. Name is mandatory; Title, Organisation title and uploaded Signature are recommended but optional.
The Edit Achievement form also includes the following optional fields:
- Secondary signatory
- CV description - A concise CV description of what learners have learned on the course written in past tense and first person singular. This will appear on the learner-facing ExpertTrack achievement page under the heading 'Showcase your skills'.
- Similar courses - Choose up to 4 short courses that are similar to and more advanced in level than this ExpertTrack. If selected, these will appear on the learner-facing ExpertTrack achievement page under the heading ‘Continue learning’.
Submit certificate information for individual component short courses
After you’ve submitted information for your ExpertTrack certificate, you’ll need to submit a Certificate of Achievement for each individual course within it.
When you open Course Creator and navigate to the ‘ExpertTrack’ tab, you’ll find your ExpertTracks. The number of component courses in each ExpertTrack is listed in the last column (called ‘Courses’), under the ExpertTrack title.
Click on the hyperlink showing the number of courses, and it will bring you to a list of the component courses in the ExpertTrack. Enter each course and follow these instructions to edit and submit your Certificate of Achievement.
